ATEC is The Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) developed by Bernard Rimland
and Stephen M. Edelson of the Autism Research Institute.
The ATEC is a one-page form designed to be completed by parents, teachers, or caretakers.
It consists of 4 subtests: I. Speech/Language Communication (14 items); II. Sociability
(20 items); III. Sensory/ Cognitive Awareness (18 items); and IV. Health/Physical/Behaviour
(25 items). We encourage parents to complete this form on line regularly (e.g. Monthly)
to monitor the child’s progress. Please indicate our e-mail address at the end of
the form if you wish the results to be automatically shared with us.
We recommend filling in the early developmental survey if you child is age 1-5 years
old
We suggest to complete the ATT behavioural chart if you would like ATT to provide
a functional analysis of your child’s challenging behaviour.
